Schools Out Camps

About Camp

On select Portland Public Schools non-school days, TCG will offer camps from 9:00am to 3:00pm with extended care hours available. Camp activities include gymnastics, free play, crafts, games, open gym time, and more for kids ages 6 to 14.

What to Send With Campers:

  • Snack and Lunch: Campers will have lunch and a morning snack during the day. Food must be nut and peanut-free. Please ensure you send plenty of ready-to-eat food, as we are unable to heat or provide food. It’s a good idea to pack the snack separately from lunch.
  • Footwear: We recommend sending children in athletic shoes or sandals that stay on their feet. We do not recommend shoes or sandals that come off easily, such as flip-flops, because children may be participating in active outdoor games.
  • Jacket: Due to constant air flow in the gym, it can get a little chilly, so we suggest sending a light jacket or sweatshirt with your child.
  • Water bottle: A filled water bottle for your child to take into the gym and to the park.
  • Extra set of clothes: for younger children in case of accidents.
  • Attire: Children should be dressed in clothing that allows for easy movement. Jeans are not permitted in the gym, so please refrain from dressing your child in them.
  • Medication Authorization Form: For children who need to take medication while attending camp.

Camp Policies:

  • TUITION is non-refundableCamp tuition is not transferable to other services, such as class tuition. Camp tuition cannot be credited except in one case; see below for the exception. Any missed camp day is considered a wash and cannot be rescheduled.

  • CREDITS: One exception will grant a partial credit for camp tuition. A child who is sick or injured and has a doctor’s note excusing them from camp BEFORE it begins will receive a 50% tuition credit on their account for a future camp. This credit is valid only for future NSD camp charges within the next 12 months and cannot be applied to other fees, such as class tuition, break camps, or membership fees. A child must be dropped/excused from the camp before the first day and will then be dropped and credited. Injuries with a doctor’s note that occur during the week will receive partial credit for the remainder of the week once a child is dropped. Sick calls during the week are not eligible for a credit.

  • Children are expected to be picked up at the end of the camp day, 3:00pm. If children are picked up after 3:00pm, family accounts will be charged a late pick-up fee of $5 plus $1 per minute the child remains on-site after 3:00pm. Late pick-up fees also apply to extended care. If children remain onsite after 4:00pm, family accounts will be charged a late pick-up fee of $5 plus $1 per minute for each minute the camper remains onsite after 4:00pm.

To enroll in camps and extended care, families can easily visit the Camps section in the Parent Portal.
