After School Care
We offer After School Care for your kids at The Children’s Gym. See below for a list of After School Care dates, times and pricing.
Enrollment is only available via email or over the phone as space is limited. To find out current availability please call or email our front office.

Monthly tuition is billed at a flat rate based on the number of days per week your student is enrolled.
5 days per week: $657/month
4 days per week: $557/month
3 days per week: $440/month
2 days per week: $309/month
1 day per week: $194/month
- Students are picked up from schools and arrive back at The Children’s Gym.
- Students enjoy a nut-free and peanut-free snack brought from home. Snacks are no longer provided by The Children’s Gym.
- All children will participate in a fitness class to keep moving and learning the importance of exercise and nutrition.
- Homework time is provided for children who need it. Staff will spot-check for completeness if requested to do so.
- Other daily activities include open gym, craft, board games, coloring, books and more.
We follow the Portland Public Schools schedule and do not hold After School Care on non school days. These dates are listed to the right. Please note, we will offer camps during Winter and Spring Break, but we no longer offer Non School Day Camps.

Available space is filled on a first come, first served basis.
All enrollment forms must be filled out and turned in before a student may attend. Forms are available at our front desk or may be requested via e-mail.
Does TCG provide a snack?
Beginning in the 2019/2020 season TCG will no longer be providing snacks to ASC students. Due to an increase in student food allergies, food waste, and other factors TCG has decided to have parents provide snacks for their students. Snacks must be nut & peanut free. Students will be provided snack time near 3:15pm. As always water cups will be provided for students that do not have a water bottle with them.
When is tuition due?
After School Care tuition is due on the 21st of the current month for the upcoming month’s enrollment. A late fee of $15 will be assessed on tuition not paid on the due date.
Are there discounts available?
A 10% sibling discount is applied to additional siblings’ After School tuition residing in the same home.
Are membership fees required for enrollment in ASC?
Yes, Annual membership fees are required for enrollment in After School Care. $40 for a single child, $50 for a family membership fee.
How are fees calculated?
Monthly tuition is billed at a flat rate based on the number of days per week your student is enrolled. After school care days are calculated over the entire school year to create a flat rate tuition amount. Tuition will be billed monthly at the same amount regardless if the month is shorter or longer. 1st month tuition will be prorated if a student is enrolling mid-month.
Parents are responsible for notifying TCG when their child is going to be absent. TCG should be notified at least 1 hour prior to the school release time, or by the release school release time. Students who are not excused from pick up and then do not attend will have a “non-excused fee” of $15 assessed to the family account.
Credit will not be given for absences, except in the case of doctor noted illnesses or prolonged injuries that exceed two weeks. The credit will be applied to your account to be used towards the next month’s bill.
