About our Staff & Coaches
Traci started The Children’s Gym because of her passion for teaching children in a positive environment. She felt there was a need to provide a place for a diverse group of students to gather and learn gymnastics non-competitively. She grew The Children’s Gym from a small preschool gymnastics program to a facility that caters to now over 1,000 students!
Andrea grew up here at TCG and is now running the company with her mom Traci. In her free time, she loves living an active lifestyle, whether she’s hiking or running. Her goal is to run all the major races in Portland and perhaps one day the Marathon. She enjoys traveling, has lived in Italy, and has done volunteer work in Ethiopia, Africa.
Tami has been involved with gymnastics since the age of five, both recreationally and competitively, and has been coaching for over 30 years! Outside the world of gymnastics, Tami enjoys biking, hiking, rafting, hunting, camping and almost anything outdoors you can think of!
I’ve been involved in sports since I could walk. I played tennis, softball, volleyball and basketball throughout my childhood and continued to play basketball competitively through high school. A few of my hobbies are playing basketball, rock climbing and hiking with my dog.
Miss Christina began Irish dancing when she was 9 years old. She has trained both as a solo and team competitor and performer. She has been competitively ranked as high as 7th in the Western US Region, and she has qualified for the World Championships seven times. Irish dancing has taken her all over the Pacific Northwest as well as to New York, Tennessee, Boston, Florida, Canada, and Ireland. She has performed with The Chieftains, the Trail Blazers, and the Oregon Symphony. In addition to coaching gymnastics at The Children’s Gym, she has been teaching Irish dance for 9 years. Irish dancing is her passion, whether it be competing, performing, or teaching!
Jacquie has been coaching on and off for the last few years but her time at TCG started at age 3 as a student. It perpetuated a passion for fitness and education that she continues to pursue daily. In between her coaching time, Jacquie taught kindergarten at a private school, managed the events program at a daycare and in the spring of 2016 finished her second degree from Portland Bible College.
Patrick has been coaching gymnastics for 4 years. When he’s not coaching, he enjoys playing piano and likes outside activities such as hiking, swimming, snowboarding, and boating. Patrick is currently studying to receive his Bachelor in Theology at Portland Bible College. He loves working here at The Children’s Gym and hopes he can provide a fun experience for the children in his class.
A bonafide original Oregonian, born-and-raised, Jenna comes to us with several years of working experience in a variety of settings. She volunteered for SMART (Start Making A Reader Today) and then went on to administer the SMART program at Ardenwald Elementary School in Milwaukie from 2007-2010. An avid reader, writer and traveler, Jenna is working on completing her first novel, with a few more in the works. She has been to Norway, Sicily, England, and spent an entire month in Ireland, as well as taking road trips around the entire Western portion of the US. She is aunt to two nephews, a niece and great-aunt to one little darling redhead.
Brittany has been working at TCG for 2 years now and hopes to work here many more years. She loves the family feel of TCG, for the students, for the coaches, and for the families. Brittany loves to read, swim, take road trips, listen to music, and enjoys going dancing.
Joey has a background in gymnastics and dance and has performed in Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and even on the Las Vegas strip in the world famous Folies Bergere. He has coached gymnastics, tumbling, dance, and cheer in various gymnasiums and dance studios and is happy to be a part of The Children’s Gym family. In his free time, he likes to write lyrics and hopes one day to write professionally for big named stars!
Miss Victoria first Irish danced when she was 7 years old. She excelled competitively, reaching the highest level of competition in a mere year and a half. She has qualified for the World Championship five times, and she is currently ranked 1st in the Western US Region. She has also been ranked as high as 20th in North America and 24th in the world. She has traveled all the way to England and Ireland, and she has performed with many world-renowned Irish musicians. She has been teaching for six years and loves passing on her love for Irish dance.
Austin has been a gymnast and coach for seven years. Austin is also a performance acrobat with stunting and cheerleading as his chosen discipline, as well as a Hip Hop and modern dance performer. He loves hiking, swimming, mixed martial arts, and rock climbing. He is currently going to school for his Community Health Degree and is also working on his Coordination Strength Conditioning Specialist certification.
Aubrey grew up here in the Portland area doing dance and gymnastics. She was inspired by the 1996 women’s gymnastics team and dreamt of being the next Dominique Moceanu. She competed in local dance and gymnastics competitions and her favorite events were the floor, vault and acrobatics. When she got to high school she joined the ski team and focused on school related activities. She thinks it was meant to be she found The Children’s Gym when she did. In her free time she spends as much time as possible with her family, camping, at the beach and enjoying local seasonal activities
Nik started taking gymnastics when he was three and eventually spent seven years competing for the Multnomah Athletic Club through level 10, where he placed 2nd at Nationals! Some of Nik’s hobbies include making music, painting, and traveling. He has traveled through Canada, the United States, Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, and Peru, and he plans to go to Africa next!

Lindsey grew up in Central Washington doing dance, and performing in shows throughout high-school. Since teaching here, she has developed a love for gymnastics and helping kids being able to be successful and confident. Lindsey loves music, hiking, and dancing. She moved to Portland in the summer of 2015 to attend Portland Bible College, where she is studying to receive a Bachelor in Theology.
Zoe started gymnastics at the age 3 and fell in love. At 13 she continued on to practice Arial Dance and partner acrobatics. She is also an avid yogi and is a 200hr RYT certified instructor and working on the completion of her 500hr teacher training here in Portland. Off of her mat and outside of the gym she loves to sing, dance and laugh. Zoe has a passion for movement and the joy it brings to her students.
Before beginning teaching in the fall of 2016 Lucinda was a student at TCG for three years. She did circus arts along side gymnastics since 2012. She is a people person and is very outgoing. Her hobbies include drawing, painting, and making music.
Hanna was a gymnast for 7 years, and then did competitive cheerleading where she competed at the Cheerleading worlds in Orlando. She currently competes in the Miss America Organization, paints, and love reading. Hanna is in school for secondary education, and wants to be a middle school math teacher. Hannah is fluent in Spanish and loves working with kids from different backgrounds. She hopes to someday teach in Ecuador.
Maia began gymnastics when she was four and competed until the age of 13. After gymnastics, she studied dance intensively at the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC. She has been coaching and teaching children for the past four years. Maia is currently studying to receive her master’s degree in environmental science and policy. In her free time, she enjoys taking ballet classes, bouldering, yoga, and chess. Maia is very happy to share her passion for gymnastics and movement with the kids at TCG!
